Kimberly Cheng ('19)
Vice Chairperson
Kim Cheng grew up in Henderson, Nevada, and San Francisco. She found her way to San Jose Staté University, where she earned her B.S. in applied mathematics in Spring 2019. After completing LEAD Filipino's Awareness in Action program, Kim found empowerment in civic engagement and ethnic studies, consequently becoming a quantitative research intern for the Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies, a census outreach volunteer for the Asian Law Alliance, a Sister of Kappa Psi Epsilon, and staff at KUBO LB. As Vice Chair of FAN SJSU, Kim is excited to serve alongside the board in fostering community, personal growth, and professional development, and to support the journeys of SJSU's Fil-Am leaders.
Kim is pursuing her Master’s in applied mathematics at CSULB and works as a Teaching Associate. She enjoys being active, gaming, and spending time with her cat, Jasper. She also serves as interim VP of the Philippine Quadball Association.
