Alan Gouig ('19)
Founder & President
Alan Gouig ('19) is a proud community advocate and grassroots organizer based in Downtown San José. His work has taken him to organizations such as LEAD Filipino and the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN), where he focused on strengthening civic engagement and coalition building initiatives across Santa Clara County. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at San José State University, forging strategic partnerships to expand corporate giving, advance career equity, and deepen institutional engagement across industries. As the founder and President of SJSU’s Filipino Alumni Network, he also leads the university’s Filipino American History Mural project — an intergenerational, community-driven initiative honoring cultural identity, storytelling, and the longstanding contributions of the Filipinx community. Alan’s work reflects his belief in the transformative power of community care, ensuring that Filipino Americans are able to thrive for generations to come.
