Director of Professional Development

Danreb Victorio graduated from SJSU in 2012, earning his bachelor’s in journalism with a minor in Asian American Studies.

During his time at SJSU, he served as an intern, community chair, and president of Akbayan and also dedicated time to several core leadership groups for the organization. He presided over a banner 2010-11 term that celebrated a “double trophies” victory at the 25th Annual Friendship Games, Akbayan’s first Sparta Awards, winning both “Most Outstanding Cultural Organization” and “Organization of the Year” plaques, and contributed to the “We Are One Filipino” movement that saw Akbayan and other organizations meet former President of the Philippines Benigno Aquino III.

Danreb parlayed his time spent with the Fil-Am community working as a marketing coordinator with Ayala Land before moving on to a career in the video game industry. Danreb is now the community coordinator at Gamers Outreach after spending seven years with Electronic Arts.
