Most recently, Alan served as a Policy & Advocacy Associate at the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN). His role included advocating for and organizing nonprofit coalitions across the county. Prior to that, he had served as a Civic Engagement Organizer with LEAD Filipino where he worked to bolster participation rates among young Filipino Americans in the U.S. Census. 

Currently he serves as a Board member of the South University Neighborhood (SUN) Association where he continues to engage residents across downtown San Jose. As a 2023 graduate of New Leaders Council Silicon Valley Chapter, Alan continues to organize alongside cross-sector leaders to advance progressive and equitable change throughout his community. Currently, he serves as the Founder and Board Chair  of FAN SJSU where he hopes to be a valuable resource in strengthening SJSU’s Filipinx college-to-career pipeline. When he is not busy empowering his community, Alan enjoys being a boba aficionado, an avid news junkie, and an AMC A-list Stubs Member.
